Being able to optimize industrial automation, material handling, with the plans of the various ERP systems is one of the most compelling challenges that Emmepi Group is directly called upon to face. A challenge that can only be overcome with automation systems that are effective, fast but above all robust, because the failure of individual components can lead to problems or malfunctions, which in the worst case scenario can cause the system to stop. Thanks to the use of redundant components, this risk is significantly reduced.

And it is equally important to underline how automation systems can reach a notable degree of complexity. This makes it necessary for the system to be operated simultaneously from multiple operator stations by different employees or for data from different systems to be evaluated centrally.

The IT structures of factories are increasingly complex and sensitive to problems of failure and related recovery, and there is an increasingly frequent tendency to adopt solutions that do not include physical servers but virtual servers. Emmepi Group is able to operate in both cases, with choices made in mutual agreement with the client's specialized professionals.

But the challenges are linked to the enormous quantities of data that are generated today, and which require the use no longer only of "basic" tools of an HMI system, such as Alarm Logging or the use of User Archive but always more often, real-time tracking data analysis, real-time trace data, visualization and analysis of big data are requested for each specific type of device.

In recent years, Emmepi Group has collaborated with various companies around the world and has interfaced with various ERP systems. Also for this reason Emmepi Group has perfected data exchange, creating a dedicated software package capable of using the most used technologies for data exchange: from data exchange on txt files, through XML files, TCP/IP communication, OPC, table sharing on internal or external databases.
