Our method

Each system is born from a basic idea that must be developed, which must be transformed into something concrete.

We start by looking at Customer’s plant layout (the converting machines present in the plant with the precise dimensions) and, on the basis of these information, Emmepi Group develops a handling and storage line based on its experience and technical innovation. Our offer consists in making a shared layout that the Client evaluates and subscribes.

The starting layout includes an in-depth phase through a series of technical meetings with the Customer.

The various sections of the plant are analyzed in terms of components and control. At this point, Emmepi Group sets up the production work of the line material and software and starts the mechanical design (implementation of transfer cars, conveyor belts, etc.) and electrical design (control of motors and sensors).

In the on-site intervention phase, the problem may arise of having to temporarily stop the work of the plant.

Emmepi Group, to overcome this inconvenience, arranges an installation planning so as not to affect the production of the Customer. Where the stop is unavoidable, our Group is available to intervene when the Company’s activity naturally goes on pause (as in the case of Christmas holidays).

It is a two-levels software.

The first one, the PLC, is the industrial input / output card that controls the actuators on site and manages the system. At the highest level, there is the supervision software that displays the layout and movement of the material inside the plant in real time. In this way, the Customer can constantly check and verify the efficiency of the system.

The Customer must be instructed on the management of the system in order to be able to control it in total self-sufficiency.

Training sessions take place both in dedicated offices and in the workspaces of the plant. The training is followed by a coaching on site (which can last a few weeks) in order to train the Operators who interface with the machines. The training is also planned for the mechanical and electrical maintenance team.

Emmepi Group has a monitoring window that is always open on the plants put in production.

The remote-control concerns both the PLC and the Supervision card and acts in real time on the single problem highlighted. A Service Dept. in charge filters requests for intervention, sorting them to our dedicated Departments: Software, Hardware, Mechanical or Electrical.
